This is a really fun and engaging activity. Children can be set the challenge to find as many reptile words with these wonderful worksheets. Want to save paper, why not print some for a group activity and laminate them so that you can use them time and time again. You could even give children a blank grid and challenge them to make their reptile word search.
A great activity to recap children's learning about the characteristics of reptiles. This is a fully animated PowerPoint slide that enables children to choose a fact and then state if it is true or false. You simply need to click on the fact to revel the answer and then click on the answer to reveal a small part of the picture hidden beneath.

A fantastic activity to support children in learning key vocabulary by creating their very own dictionary. A great opportunity to teach children about how to use dictionaries and how to put words into alphabetical order.
HA – children will need to put key vocabulary into alphabetical order and write statements to explain word next to each.
MA – vocabulary already in order in mini dictionary, with pictures and key words, from introduction, together as prompts on tables. Children to write statements to explain each word.
LA – vocabulary already in order in mini dictionary, with picture and key vocabulary from introduction together as prompt on table. Key statements for children to cut out and match to the correct key word. Adult will need to support with reading.

A great activity to encourage children to practise reading HfW differentiated by phonics phases. The words are written in size 8 font and hidden in pirate pictures for children t look for and read using a magnifying glass. Can they find them all? This is a tried and tested resource - my class loved it.
A beautiful worksheet where children can label the parts of a crocodile by either cutting and sticking the vocabulary in the correct place, writing the vocabulary onto the worksheet or why not laminate the worksheet and children can write the vocabulary on using whiteboard pens.
